Shipping policy

This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and expectations surrounding the delivery of products ordered through Inke Packaging Pty Ltd (ABN 63 624 690 759). It applies to all local and international orders, whether placed via the website, email, or other authorised sales channels. Inke Packaging works with a carefully vetted network of manufacturing and logistics partners to ensure a seamless delivery experience across both domestic and offshore fulfilment.

1. Shipping Methods and Fulfilment

Orders placed with Inke Packaging may be fulfilled via one of two methods depending on the scope, product selection, and delivery requirements:

  • Local Production (Australia): Products are produced and delivered through our domestic supplier and courier network. This is typically the fastest fulfilment route and is best suited for short runs, urgent lead times, or where local manufacturing is preferred.
  • Offshore Production (International): Orders may be manufactured overseas via our approved offshore partners. In these cases, shipping is coordinated from the country of origin to the destination using a combination of air freight, sea freight, or international courier services. Offshore production is generally suited for larger volumes or complex custom packaging solutions.

Inke Packaging determines the appropriate production route based on your requirements, though you may request a preference during the quoting or order process.

2. Estimated Lead Times

The delivery timeline for any order is dependent on the product type, quantity, printing complexity, production location, and the selected freight method. The following general lead time estimates apply:

  • Local Production: Typically 2–3 weeks from final artwork approval to delivery.
  • Offshore Production: Ranges from approximately 6–12 weeks from artwork approval to delivery, depending on whether air freight or sea freight is selected.

Freight times may vary depending on your specific location, proximity to metro centres, and the freight carrier’s scheduling. For more accurate information tailored to your region or delivery address, please consult our FAQs or contact our team directly.

These timeframes are provided as indicative only and are not guaranteed. Inke Packaging is not liable for any delays caused by manufacturing queues, freight congestion, customs inspections, or third-party courier networks. You will be advised of any known issues or delays as soon as reasonably practicable.

3. Shipping Costs and Freight Options

Shipping costs are calculated based on order size, weight, delivery address, and required delivery method. Rates are either displayed at checkout or included in your quotation, depending on whether your order is placed through our online platform or offline channels.

For larger or pallet-based shipments, a member of our team will confirm shipping charges prior to dispatch if these are not automatically calculated online.

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Remote area delivery surcharges
  • Tail-lift services or residential access
  • Re-delivery due to failed attempts or incorrect address details
  • Rush delivery or custom shipping arrangements requested by the customer

Inke Packaging reserves the right to review and update shipping charges prior to order confirmation where freight market conditions or service adjustments necessitate it.

4. Delivery and Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a tracking notification by email. This will include tracking details and the carrier name, allowing you to monitor the shipment in real time. Split deliveries may result in multiple tracking emails.

Offshore orders may involve multiple tracking stages, including ex-factory release, international transit, customs clearance, and final mile delivery. While we aim to provide transparency at every step, visibility can vary depending on the courier or freight provider involved.

If your order requires coordination between multiple parties or shipment types (such as a combination of sea and land freight), a member of our team will remain in contact to ensure you are kept informed throughout.

5. Risk, Title and Insurance

Risk and title in the goods pass to you once the order has been marked as dispatched or collected from the production facility, whether local or offshore. Inke Packaging is not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs during transit after this point.

It is the customer’s responsibility to organise insurance coverage if protection during freight is required. Inke Packaging does not provide automatic insurance unless agreed to in writing. This includes international shipments, for which the customer is regarded as the importer of record and assumes full responsibility upon dispatch.

6. Delivery Terms and Conditions

All deliveries will be made to the shipping address specified at the time of order. Inke Packaging is not responsible for deliveries made to incorrect, incomplete, or inaccessible addresses provided by the customer. If re-delivery is required due to incorrect information or failed delivery attempts, the associated charges will be passed on to the customer.

Orders may be delivered:

  • Flat-packed in cartons (standard method)
  • On pallets for larger orders (via tail-lift truck or forklift)

The appropriate method will depend on the order volume and shipping provider used. Palletised shipments require suitable site access and unloading arrangements. The receiver is responsible for being available at the nominated delivery address during standard business hours to accept delivery.

Any instructions regarding restricted access, delivery requirements, or site safety protocols must be communicated at the time of order. Inke is not responsible for delays caused by missed delivery windows or inadequate access arrangements.

7. International Orders and Customs

For orders shipped from outside of Australia, customs clearance may be required depending on your location. Import duties, taxes, clearance fees, and any applicable government charges are the responsibility of the recipient unless Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) terms are explicitly agreed in writing.

If charges are incurred at the destination and unpaid, the shipment may be returned, delayed, or held by authorities. Inke is not responsible for customs clearance delays, rejected goods, or any resulting costs unless otherwise stated.

If you are unsure of your customs obligations or require an estimate of potential import duties, we encourage you to check with your local authority before confirming your order.

8. Rush Orders and Expedited Freight

In some cases, rush production or priority shipping may be available for an additional fee. Where a rush order is accepted and a timeline is agreed upon, Inke Packaging will take all reasonable steps to meet the specified deadline.

However, Inke cannot guarantee performance where delays occur outside of its control, including carrier delays, customs holds, or global freight disruptions. In such instances, the rush fee is non-refundable, though a credit may be applied at our discretion for future use.

9. Delivery Issues and Support

If you have not received tracking information or believe your order is delayed, we recommend checking your order confirmation or shipment email first. If tracking shows no movement within the estimated delivery window, please contact us at hello@inke.com.au so we can investigate on your behalf.

While Inke will assist in resolving courier-related issues, we are not responsible for lost or stolen goods after delivery has been marked as complete. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive the shipment or that appropriate delivery instructions are provided at checkout.
